I have been at David’s since 2005. My reasons for coming to Taiwan were these–my wife and a desire to help people with English. My wife I met in Canada in 1999. Before her I had a notion to travel to Asia and help people with English. The first place I wanted to go to was Japan. Then, it was Korea. After meeting the lady–a Taiwanese lady–who became my wife, I decided to go to Taiwan. I have lived here since 2003. Always in Taipei, except when we are not in Taipei. Hiking, painting, reading, walking in parks, sitting in coffee shops, hotsprings, these are the things I enjoy. Noisy scooters, scooters in general, single-use plastics, excessive plastic bag consumption, there are the things that bother me.
