I think having a good class involves creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere, where students are comfortable to speak English and make mistakes. The more students speak the faster they improve so I try to create as many interesting opportunities for them to practice what they know and what they have learned. I also teach new ideas, grammar, and vocabulary in practical ways, not just, “that word means this”, but as a sentence the way the word/idiom is used in everyday or in business conversations.
Hello! I’m Hanif from Boston, MA USA. I’m a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst where I studied Journalism with a minor in Sports Management. After teaching ESL for my first time in Seoul, South Korea, I returned home and worked as a foreign student exchange coordinator for a major education company in the northeastern United States. I came to Taiwan to challenge myself and pursue my love of traveling, while learning to adapt to a completely new language and culture. I look forward to the opportunity to teach you not only about the English language, but also about American culture. I love to learn from my students at the same time about their own language, customs and culture which is one of the biggest reasons why I love teaching ESL! In my free time, I enjoy a variety of activities which include hiking, photography, outdoor sports, cooking, riding my scooter around the city, and going to night markets with my friends.
Good better best, never let it rest, till good is better and better best!
